Leigh Academy

Leigh Academy is a new 1150 pupil secondary school delivered through the Department for Education Free Schools Framework. The project delivered a three-storey teaching block, sports hall and outdoor multi-use games pitch.

OCC were selected as the professional contractor to deliver the extensive external works package on the project. This included all new roads, car parks and footpaths formed with block paving of mixed colour and sizes, bollards, cycle shelters, surface water drainage and provisions for external lighting.

The majority of our works on this project took place in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, the site team aligned their working practices in accordance with the CLC Covid guidelines and delivered the project successfully on time.
